yellowthroat southBird Walk: Join an experienced bird watcher as we walk the trails at Resaca.  See why this park is so important for our great bird abundance and diversity.  Walks start at 8:30 AM and last 2 and a half hours.  Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.  Cost is $4.00 for adults; children 12 and under are free. 

 

Resaca Ride: Take a bike ride into Resaca de la Palma State Park, and let an experienced park interpreter show you the wonders of our park.  Bring your own bicycle, or rent one of ours.  Bring plenty of water and do not forget your sunscreen.  Bike Rides start at 8:15 AM, and last an hour.   Cost is $4.00 for adults; children 12 and under are free.  Bike rentals start at $5.00 for four hours.

 

 

 

Nature Walk: Resaca de la Palma State Park has four vegetative habitats sustained by a resaca.  Come join our guide on a walk through the park, and witness the beauty of a native undisturbed habitat.  Walks start at 8:30 AM and last 2 and a half hours.  Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.  Cost is $4.00 for adults; children 12 and under are free. 

Things that go howl in the night: Take a ride though the park at night learning about the wonders of nocturnal animals.  Learn about the sense that night animals depend on for finding food, and navigating in the dark. Do not forget your flashlights!  Bring plenty of water and insect repellant.  Reservations are required, please call the park office.  Walks start at 7:00 PM and last 2 hours.  Cost is $6.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.

Butterfly Walk: Join our butterfly expert on a walk through the butterfly gardens.  Resaca de la Palma State Park has over 50 species of butterflies, and fall is the peak season to find these beauties.   The walk starts at 11:30 and lasts one hour.  Make sure you have plenty of water and sunscreen.  Cost is $4.00 for adults; children 12 and under are free.
